Hi participants! Do you know how will you compete in this competition? Maybe you don't. Here is brief overview on what you will do in IBM Business Competition 2014. Have Fun!
DAY 1 – LAND INVESTMENT
This
is the start of your journey to be THE ACE! In this preliminary round, we
challenge you to be land investors. You will have to answers many questions,
ranging from economics, mathematics, business issues, and other general
knowledge. After answering the questions, you will decide which land you want
to invest in according to the situation. Like the real-life investment, you
will get profit or loss from your investment choice!
DAY 2 - BUSINESS RACE
The
path of being THE ACE will not end in day 1. Instead, it is just the beginning
of the real challenges. In day 1, you will be tested based on your knowledge and
critical thinking to go to the next round. However, in day 2, you’ll be tested
not only by your knowledge, but also your physical endurance and your teamwork.
THIS
IS TIME TO PROVE YOU ARE THE ACE!!
You’ll
go around Surabaya in order to finish the challenges. Of course there will be a
lot of crisis that you will face. Don’t get nervous, don’t get curious, just
focus on how you will finish your challenges in this phase!
DAY 3 - WORKSHOP with
BOGA GROUP
The
survivors from the BUSINESS RACE will face the real business world challenge as
the final phase. In order for someone to do the business, he needs well
preparation. IBM Business Competition 2014 will help you to learn from the real
business world by inviting the representatives from Boga Group, a business
group that manages 4 big restaurants in Indonesia: Sushi Tei, Bakerzin,
Paradise Inn, and Paradise Dynasty. They will share their knowledge and
experience of conducting the real business world to you.
DAY 4 - FINAL PHASE
What is the purpose of
the workshop?
You
may ask this question and here is the answer! For final phase, you’ll have to
establish marketing plan for certain product in one of the 3 restaurants under
Boga Group: Sushi Tei, Bakerzin, and Paradise Dynasty. You will implement your
strategies in the restaurants and people will witness which best strategy can
help Boga Group. In the end, we will find THE ACE who can break all of the
crisis and challenges!
